Through the Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Psychiatric Program, children and adolescents ages 6 - 18 receive mental health treatment in a structured, day treatment setting. Services are offered 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday for a total of 30 hours per week.
The program is ideal as a step-up from outpatient services or a step-down from inpatient treatment. This program is typically for children and adolescents who have acute cases of mental illness or psychiatric disorders. Children and adolescents eligible for this program may exhibit difficulty functioning at home or at school and have psychotic symptoms.
Services offered through the Child & Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Psychiatric Program include:
Patients receiving treatment through this program have an average stay of 12-14 days. The Partial Hospitalization Psychiatric Program is a clinically-based comprehensive program that includes a discharge planning meeting and connecting the patient with community services. The family of the patient is included throughout the child or adolescent’s program.
The Partial Hospitalization Program is offered at our Third Street Clinic in Harrisburg.

To make a referral for a patient who is medically cleared and needs inpatient mental health treatment, please contact the Admissions Department at (717) 782-6493 or (866) 746-2496.
