Where adults can get help when suffering emotional and behavioral problems
Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute (PPI) treats adults with behavioral disorders in Inpatient, Outpatient and Partial-hospitalization programs, depending on the specific need of the individual and the severity of symptoms. At PPI, our psychiatrists, behavioral health specialists, Master’s level therapists and RNs personalize each program to meet the unique needs of every individual.
There are many types and levels of mental illness. PPI treats depression, eating disorders, anxiety and phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, emotional and behavioral problems and memory loss.
Our modern treatments and facilities are designed to enable each patient to return to, or begin, a productive life.
Outpatient Psychiatric Treatment for Adults
Learn more about our outpatient services
Our Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Program is a less restrictive level of care than our Inpatient Program. It requires that patients come to the psychiatric clinic or facility only during treatment hours. This allows for easier maintenance of their normal family and school commitments. Patients who have completed an inpatient psychiatric program typically continue treatment in an outpatient psychiatric program.
This program provides therapeutic and diagnostic treatment planning specific to the needs of the adult, including psychiatry and individual, family and group therapies.
Accepts patients ages 18 and older.
Partial Hospitalization Psychiatric Treatment for Adults
Learn more about our partial hospitalization services
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offered here is designed to help adults cope with behavioral health symptoms that are significantly impacting their day-to-day lives.
This program is ideal as a step-up from outpatient psychiatric services or a step-down from inpatient psychiatric services.
Accepts patients ages 18 and older.
Inpatient Psychiatric Treatment for Adults
Learn more about our inpatient services
Our Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Program is designed for individuals whose social, emotional or behavioral disorders are severe enough that they are unable to function normally in school, home or a community setting.
This program provides therapeutic and diagnostic treatment planning specific to the individual needs of the patient, including psychiatry and individual, family and group therapies.
Accepts patients ages 18 and older.
