Camp Dragonfly

Unfortunately…due to the rising covid-19 risks and the fact that our Camp Dragonfly participants are children who are not able to be vaccinated….we decided to CANCEL CAMP DRAGONFLY this year.

This was a tough decision but the right one for sure. We want to ensure safety of the campers, families, our staff and volunteers.

Our Bereavement staff is available to talk with our families regarding the grief needs of their children and families. Don’t hesitate to encourage families to call our Journey Program or email Bereavement with follow-up concerns.

Hospice of Central PA offers this special weekend camp for children, ages 6-15, who are grieving the death of a family member. Camp Dragonfly offers a safe environment where children can openly express their feelings and have fun. Facilitated by trained bereavement counselors and volunteers, Camp Dragonfly is made possible through the generosity of the Kline Foundation, McCormick Foundation and the Pollock Foundation. It is free of charge for all participants, but campers and camp volunteers must apply in advance.

For more information please call (717) 732-1000.
